Questions I get a lot

  1. Yes, for senior / staff individual-contributor roles at small-to-medium teams where the tech is the product. Not interested in being the 47th engineer on a feature factory.

  2. Through Studio Fornaio, with a preference for small, well-scoped projects. If you want a marketing site, a small internal tool, or a prototype shipped cleanly, yes. If you want a full-team-for-six-months engagement, probably not.

  3. PHP and Laravel for most of it, with Livewire and Flux on the front. TypeScript when the browser starts asking too many questions. Postgres / MySQL. I pick boring where boring wins.

  4. Italy. I work with teams across Europe and comfortably overlap with US-East afternoons. Timezone is a non-issue if there's async discipline.

  5. Usually within 48 hours. Faster if your email has a subject line that isn't 'Hey.'

  6. No. But I will occasionally trade code for good espresso.
